Johnny Juxo & Friends -Americana & New Orleans Blues

Johnny Juxo and Friends will get things kicking playing Americana to New Orleans Blues. His 2017 release Long Distance Driver won the Motif Award for Americana Album of the Year. In 2020 John recorded his next album, Get Off of My Lawn, a collection of songs written by local songwriters he’s worked with over the years. Johnny’s latest release is Rocket Wine, with Lisa Marie, A collection of Lisa's original songs that mix New Orleans-inspired blues and R&B.

Peter Bortolotti -aka the Professor

Peter’s music performances reflect his eclectic lifelong passion for Classic Rock, Blues, Folk, Country, and Americana with some occasional Jazz and popular music thrown in for good measure. In the RI music scene, Peter is perhaps best known as the founder of the popular RI band Tanya McIntyre & The Professors, nominated by Motif Magazine as one of Rhode Island’s best cover bands for four consecutive years (2016-2019). Peter works in collaboration with The Same Thing Project (STP) a “community songwriting” workshop for people from all walks of life. Most recently Peter has created Rhode Tunes which brings together many of the best RI area musicians performing original tunes and covers with other artists and friends.

Virginia James has a profound love of music and life which is immediately engaging from the first note of each performance they give.  With years of performance experience, formal training, and intuitive musicianship Alicia and Chris Farias bring to the table a diverse set of musical skills and influences molding a singular performance experience.. Combining vocal harmonies,  guitar/bass, violin, and male/female lead vocal they are able to deliver a wide variety of original and contemporary favorites from singer-songwriter style ballads to upbeat classic rock and R&B to roots-based acoustic rock and folk. They may even throw in some Irish tunes! The band released its debut album “After the Storm Clears” in June 2021 to rave reviews.

Anita Mansfield-Brit Folk Rock Singer-Songwriter

From Waterford, Ireland Anita formed the Celtic Rock band ANITA AND THE YANKS and played laying a slew of iconic venues, and sessions including The Big Irish Fair LA, The Seaside Highland Games, The Roxy, The Brixton, The Queen Mary, and Casey’s in LA. Inspired by the strength of Dolores O’Riordan, The Cranberries, Alanis Morissette, and Heart, Anita chose to focus on her original music. and create a new project, THE MANSFIELD BAND in 2013 featuring original songs driven by Anita’s vocals, melody, and lyrics. Anita joined up with percussionist Brendan McCarthy to build on the current leg of her musical journey. A simple and authentic expression of her original folk rock and she is excited to continue bringing this music to her fans. Anita sings from the heart and with her haunting Celtic lilt and wide vocal range she touches the souls with her rich sound. She is currently playing, writing, and recording for an album to be released soon. Come join her live stream to her fans in the UK.

Beth Barron has been active in the providence community creating positive spaces for others to share their music as well, which includes, several established and successful open mics across Rhode Island, Beth is a board member of the RI Folk Festival and is founder of RI event, “Ladies of Folk.”

Mark Taber-RI’s Piano Man

Mark started playing the piano at the age of 4 and playing it for 75 yrs. He honed his craft as a young teenager by bunking school and playing piano in Providence bars entertaining the day drinkers. Influenced by the great American novel “On the Road” by Ginsberg, Mark was inspired to cut his own musical path and study great bands like Duke Ellington. Mark joined the legendary, Rhode Island, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band the Ken Lyon & the Tombstone Blues Band. Mark played with the iconic Rhode Island band for 30 years playing for huge audiences and opening up for Janis Joplin.

In addition to being an integral part of little Rhody’s music history, Mark is also a visual artist who creates sculptures by repurposing found objects. Come enjoy the wizard of the keys under the umbrellas and listen to him cast his spell.
